GRAMMY®-nominated recording artist Audien andpop-soul singer/actor/dancer MAX team up on “One More Weekend,” a sparkling ode to summer love that was released today by Astralwerks.
Audien (a.k.a. Nathaniel “Nate” Rathbun) said, “I’d been searching for the right artist to vocal this record for a while, and a few months ago MAX came along and just crushed it. Working together has been nothing but good vibes, and I think that fun collaborative spirit really comes alive in the song.”
MAX recalled, “‘One More Weekend’ was one of those songs that Nate and I both loved so much that we’d call each other late at night giggling like school girls about the different ideas we had for the song. Now it’s finally out, which is insanely awesome.”
Audien co-wrote “One More Weekend” with Captain Cuts. The Los Angeles-based songwriting/production trio – composed of Ben Berger, Ryan McMahon and Grouplove drummer/producer Ryan Rabin – has written such hits as the 3x Platinum “Shut Up and Dance,” recorded by Walk the Moon, and Grouplove’s Platinum hit “Tongue Tied.”
“One More Weekend” follows Audien’s“Crazy Love” featuring Deb’s Daughter, which hit #1 on the Mediabase Dance Airplay Chart twice, and 2015’s “Something Better“ featuring Lady Antebellum, whichhas 50 million streams to date and has sold more than 250,000 downloads. His remix of Bastille’s chart-topping hit “Pompeii” was nominated for a GRAMMY. After just playing several shows during Miami Music Week, Audien continues his Feels Trip tour at Church in Denver, CO tonight. So far, the Feels Trip tour has included sold-out dates at San Francisco’s Regency Ballroom, Chicago’s Concord Music Hall, and New York’s Marquee Nightclub. See below for additional tour dates. Audien has also just announced that he will perform at New York City’s Electric Zoo in September, as well as an additional show at Los Angeles’ Belasco Theatre on May 26th
23-year-old MAX has amassed over 50 million streams worldwide of “Gibberish,” his first release on Pete Wentz’s DCD2/Crush. A lifelong entertainer, MAX also starred as Van Dyke Parks in the acclaimed Beach Boys biopic, Love & Mercy, and modeled for a Dolce & Gabbana campaign featuring Madonna.
