GITCHII Releases “OWM” Remix Package
In August, GITCHII released their sophomore EP FLY HII. The diverse record touches on trap, soul, future bass, and more, and solidified GITCHII as an artist to watch over the summer. This month GITCHII strengthens their case with a brand new remix package of the EP’s single “OWM” featuring reworks from Autolaser and R3LL. Autolaser crafts a melodic house number, producing deep basslines under bubbly crescendos while R3LL soaks GITCHII’s original in his signature Jersey Club sound. To celebrate the release, GITCHII premiered the official “OWM” music video on Mass Appeal. Along with the video, they released a free download of R3LL’s remix courtesy of SOUNDBOKS, the world’s loudest battery-powered speaker, which quickly skyrocketed to #1 on Hype Machine’s Twitter chart.
GITCHII’s distinctive and unique sound continues to turn heads. After the original “OWM” single was debuted by Jamz Supernova on BBC Radio 1XTRA, the R3LL remix followed suit, receiving a worldwide premiere of its own October 19th. The full “OWM” remix EP marks another successful collaboration for the trifecta of GITCHII, Autolaser, and R3LL. Following the release of R3LL’s Visions EP, which features the Autolaser collaboration “Daydream,” he dropped a remix package that features GITCHII’s reworking of “All 2 U (feat. Kiff).” The track earned accolades from Revolt, who called it a “Melodic composition that incorporates a bass-heavy style, paying homage to Jersey club music, while adding a new hip-hop, electronic feel.”
2016 has also provided GITCHII with an elevated touring platform, with recent performances at Steve Aoki’s curated episode of MTV Wonderland, Nocturnal Wonderland, and Dim Mak’s 20th Anniversary shows in Atlanta and SXSW. California fans can catch GITCHII on November 18th at Dim Mak’s 20th Anniversary tour stop in San Francisco and R3LL on November 19th in Huntington Beach. Tickets for both are available at Dim Mak Events.
