Inviting partygoers to enter one of the world’s most extreme party environments ever, Secret Solstice’s Into The Glacier parties will see a lucky 125 guests per party venture under the surface of Europe’s second largest glacier, Langjökull, for a trio of one-of-a-kind events. On Friday, June 16, Red Bull presents Norwegian electro-experimentalist BAYA and his world of hypnotic electronic music. Then on Saturday, June 17, global dance music brand Ministry of Sound hosts the underground sounds of UK DJ duo Dusky with a homecoming performance from Icelandic duo Thugfucker. Closing out the weekend, two-time GRAMMY-nominated rapper, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Anderson .Paak, will perform within the frozen walls of Langjökull’s cool “blue ice” for an intimate once-in-a-lifetime performance in addition to his appearance on the main festival grounds with support from Icelandic rapper Blaz Roca.
Turning up the heat, Secret Solstice presents The Lava Tunnel on Saturday, June 17 and Sunday, June 18. Daring attendees to walk through the 5,000 year old Raufarholshellir cave system into a lava tunnel, lead singer of Icelandic rock band SSSól, Helgi Björnsson, will perform alongside singer-songwriter ÁSA for the first performance inside of a lava tunnel ever for an exclusive audience of only 50 guests. The next evening will see another duo of Icelandic acts featuring multi-talented musician Högni with Snorri Helga.
While already sold out, on Friday, June 16, the Midnight Sun Boat Party will see partygoers dance the bright night away to the beats of Maxxi Soundsystem while cruising in the North Atlantic Ocean.
