BOYS NOIZE SHARES YEAR OF MAYDAY RECAP VIDEO, INCL NEW “STARCHILD.” LOOKS AHEAD TO 2017 WAREHAUS TOUR
German producer Alex Ridha, AKA Boys Noize, shares a recap of a thrilling year in which he released his 4th studio album Mayday in May and played live around the globe with a new production featuring stunning graphic and lights design.
Along with a recap “YEAR OF MAYDAY” video, which includes a new “Starchild” (live edit) here, Boys Noize shared a live recording of his 2 hour DJ-set at Robert Johnson here. Earlier in the year, he revealed the music videos “Mayday” (Snowden O.S.T.), “2LIVE” featuring T.E.E.D., “Overthrow” and “Birthday” feat Hudson Mohawke & Spank Rock and his Sonar Festival live set is captured here.
His Oliver Stone collaboration of the music video for “Mayday” for the theater movie Snowden opened in October. The remarkable, much talked about site 4Chan uniquely premiere the video on their 404 Error page.
After a full week of rehearsals, Boys Noize collaborated with Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon, Marijuana Deathsquads and The National’s Dessnerbrothers in Berlin for the Michelberger Festival (80+ Artists) at the start of October.
October was an extremely busy month for the German producer all while he toured North-America.
He released a Midnight Remixes EP which includes the techno-centric rendition of Audion (aka Matthew Dear), a hybrid sound of dub and techno by Addison Groove, and a stellar raw mix by Alex Ridha and his buddy Mr. Oizo under their Handbraekes moniker.
The Boys Noize Warehaus Tour 2017 features some major warehaus spots in cities like London on February 11 and Glasgow’s Sub Club on February 12, Paris on March 4th and Berlin on April 1st.
