ARMIN VAN BUUREN EMBRACES VINCENT VAN GOGH
On the day of its highly-anticipated release on Amsterdam-based record label Armada Music, Armin van Buuren’s ‘Club Embrace’ mix album has also been launched as part of a one-off project called ‘Embrace Vincent’. ‘Embrace Vincent’ is a collaboration between the world-renowned Van Gogh museum and Armin van Buuren himself, providing the museum’s visitors with a special version of its multimedia guide.
‘Club Embrace’ mirrors the warm-up sets of Armin van Buuren’s on-going world tour, ‘Armin Only Embrace’. The mix album comprises a two-hour-long continuous mix, featuring 28 exclusive deep remixes of well-known Armin van Buuren tracks. The tracks that were remixed include songs from Armin van Buuren’s latest artist album (‘Embrace’) and some of his most celebrated classics, including ‘Blue Fear’, ‘Communication’, ‘In And Out Of Love’, ‘Sail’ and ‘This Is What It Feels Like’.
Inspired by the works of Vincent van Gogh, Armin van Buuren selected eleven paintings of the famous Dutch artist. He provided each of the paintings with personal commentary in both Dutch and English, accompanied by the music of ‘Club Embrace’ that’s played throughout the special version of the multimedia guide. ‘Embrace Vincent’ was launched as part of this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event and will be available until December 1st, 2016. Armin van Buuren performed in a unique showcase today at the Van Gogh museum during ADE 2016.
