Ultra Music recently released, Air Walker the second single from New Zealand live dubstep duo Mt Eden. Air Walker comes on the heels of Ultra’s re-release of Mt Eden’s smash hit Sierra Leone.

After uploading ‘Sierra Leone’ to YouTube in 2010, Mt Eden created an entry point into dance music for an entirely new generation of fans, and a pioneering and enduring dubstep anthem. Since then the duo has gone onto become one of bass music’s truly individual voices and fastest rising stars, clocking up over 100 million views on their YouTube channel.

Air Walker embodies the drama that Mt Eden is best known for, accessible enough to win over crossover audiences, yet powerful enough to devastate a dancefloor. ‘Air Walker’ epitomizes the push and pull between the graceful and guttural that distinguishes Mt Eden’s work.

The single’s eerie atmospheric vocal intro can’t help but draw you in, before the gorgeous voice of Diva Ice, lush strings and rock-style drumming build to a powerful chorus; it’s full, musical and beautifully arranged. ‘Air Walker’, like ‘Sierra Leone’, demonstrates Mt Eden’s singular ability to make bass driven music that’s cinematic in scope, but sure to have festivals singing along.

Their live dates in the U.S. this summer offer a great example of just what makes Mt Eden such a unique act. A secret show for MTV in NYC saw them perform live with a string quartet, something they’ll replicate at EDC Vegas. The upcoming seven track EP for Ultra Music Walking On Air features brand new original material as well as a new string arrangement of ‘Sierra Leone’ produced in conjunction with the Grammy nominated conductor Larry Gold.
