Beach and Dallas, those are two words you hardly ever hear together. But, with what Corona and Sisu managed to accomplish this past weekend, I’d definitely like to hear them together more often.

Being a Dallas native and having never been to Sisu Uptown before, I admit, I didn’t know what to expect. I didn’t know how the crowd would be, how the venue was laid out, how many people would be there, or even what type of vibe the place had. However, when I heard that SNBRN and Hook N Sling would be in town on the Corona Electric Beach Tour, I knew there was no better way to spend my Saturday.

Upon entry I was greeted by the Corona Girls, promptly lei’d, and immediately drawn into what I can only refer to as a “little bit of Vegas in Dallas.” The entire pool and dance area was decorated in Corona apparel and the party was already bumping. With bottles being brought out by the Corona girls with sparklers and confetti, Sisu’s classic fishbowl cocktails, and palm trees all around the club, it was like I had wandered into a tropical paradise neatly hidden underneath all of the hustle and bustle of Uptown Dallas.

Hook N Sling was up first on the decks, as soon as he played his hit song, ‘Break Yourself,’ the pool came alive with dancing party people. He carried on his set with a nice selection of progressive house music, throwing in tropical elements for good measure in a set that perfectly captured the atmosphere created by Sisu and Corona.

SNBRN, with a little help from the cryo cannons, kept the energy going by playing some of his more popular songs such as ‘Raindrops’ and ‘Beat the Sunrise’, and continued on with the all too fitting mix of progressive/tropical house that makes pool parties so electric.

All in all, I have to tip my hat to Corona and Sisu, they threw an excellent party, creating a nice, welcoming environment for anybody looking to have a good time in Dallas!

Can’t wait for next year!
