After a record setting year of violence in Chicago, it has been nearly impossible to ignore the struggle within the beloved Windy City. In effort to ‘REACT’ to the violence, React Presents partnered with Bright Star Community Outreach, Inc. (BSCO) for the upcoming Mamby Beach Plunge in the historic Bronzeville neighborhood. That’s why React Presents is launching a “React To Violence” campaign in an effort to improve the city and ultimately, the world around us.
React Presents and Mamby On The Beach festival have teamed up to produce a winter fundraising event called the “Mamby Plunge” to give back to Bright Star Community Outreach – a nonprofit organization aimed towards assisting people afflicted with traumatic experiences by providing various types of healing resources through programs like the Bronzeville Dream Center.
With 100% of the proceeds going towards Mamby’s neighboring Bright Star Community, their staff has pledged to take an icy plunge into Lake Michigan if $10,000 or more is donated by Saturday, March 11. As an added incentive, fans who donate to the Go Fund Me account will be entered to win a 4-Pack of VIP passes to Mamby 2017.

If the goal is met, Mamby staff members Martin Godinez (Marketing Manager/Talent Buyer), Alan Brant (Social Media Manager), Zach Partin (Talent Buyer), Pat Grumley (Marketing Director), Dom Brown (Festival Marketing/Experiential), Ashley Egly (Festival Director) and Yolie Carrera (Yoga Instructor) will take the Mamby Plunge into the lake from our festival home of Oakwood Beach on Saturday, March 11 at 2pm CST. We invite friends and family to join us on this day for support, and literal as well as symbolical warmth.
