Riding the waves of success following the release of last year’s Life’s a Beach EP, Australian production duo Cut Snake is coming to our shores this Spring to embark on a North American tour in support of their follow up release, Magic EP, a two-track release set for March 11th on Warner Bros. Records.
A
run of dates kicking off next month and spanning through April, the
tour will make noted stops at venues including Sound in Los Angeles, San
Francisco’s Audio, San Diego at Bang Bang, and The Mid in Chicago, with
several forthcoming stops to be announced. Ahead of their foray, the
duo will perform in their native Australia at Mixmag’s Sydney Lab tomorrow, February 19th, with the full set available to stream the following day (Saturday, Feb. 20).
The duo grew up in the professional surfing scene along the coastlines of Australia,
Paul “Fish” Fisher and Leigh “Sedz” Sedley gained a global perspective
on the underground dance music scene through their consistent
competitive surfing tours. Honing this worldly experience to create a
signature house sound all their own, its no doubt the duo quickly gained a cult
following, becoming recognized for their deep-leaning productions and
wild personalities. With their latest single “Echo” amassing over 1.5
million streams on Spotify and breaking into the iTunes Dance Top 10 Album charts, to crafting official remixes for Major Lazer, Alex Metric,
and L D R U, the undeniable dynamic between Fish and Sedz is one that
is hailed by both peers and fans alike.
