Michael Brun continues a prolific 2016 with a collaboration with Aspyer, entitled ‘Omega (Love For Me). ‘Omega’ is an avant garde production for Brun, a producer known for lush, progressive house arrangements. Without a 4×4 beat in site, ‘Omega’ instead focuses on lithe textures and subtle wobbles to form a diverse, engaging soundscape.

Brun’s and Aspyer’s ‘Omega’ is a superb follow-up to his first release of the year, the impactful ‘Wherever I Go’. Showing his range as a producer – ‘Wherever I Go’ was undoubtedly an entrance into the world of pop, and ‘Omega’ can certainly be seen as a continuation of that for Brun.

This is Michael’s first time collaborating with Russian producer Aspyer.

‘Omega (Love For Me)’  is out now via Michael Brun’s very own Kid Coconut imprint.

The Tale of ‘Wherever I Go’

Of course, it would be increasingly difficult for anyone to follow up a track as personally meaningful to Michael as ‘Wherever I Go’. The track was produced at Haiti’s Audio Institute in collaboration with its students and Haitian vocalists J.Perry and BelO, and all proceeds from the track went back to charity via the Artists for Peace and Justice non profit organization.

Brun (who was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti) visited the school several years ago as a guest lecturer and was asked to join the advisory board. His experience and inspiration from the students at the institute culminated in the “Wherever I Go” project, which was released in late January to worldwide praise. Everyone from Didier Drogba to Rainn Wilson to Ansel Elgort supported the track and its subsequent charity effort.

“Wherever I Go is the most important project I’ve ever worked on in my career because it’s been a way for me to both share my heritage with the world and show the positivity that comes with investing in community” – Michael Brun
