Todd Helder is on a quick rise to stardom.
The 19-year old is currently supporting Martin Garrix in Ibiza at Ushuaïa and is about to make his Tomorrowland debut at Weekend 1 tomorrow. He’s already making his mark on the dance world with the popular release of “Pixel Love,” and he’s certain to rise to even more popularity after today’s release of the remix of Martin Garrix and Khalid’s OCEAN.
While the We Own the Nite team will be at Tomorrowland Weekend 2, we were excited to chat with Todd about his upcoming performance at Tomorrowland and what’s coming up for him next. How does it feel to have a chance to perform at Tomorrowland? Have you been there before?
I am very grateful that I can now play at Tomorrowland, I have never even been to Tomorrowland. The very first festival that I went to was The Flying Dutch.
Is there anyone you’re excited to see at Tomorrowland? Anyone, who you consider an influence on your music?
Of course, I am going to watch the sets by Martin Garrix, Tiesto & San Holo! I consider San Holo and Marshmello as great influences to my music because they use unwise cool melodies and synths. San Holo was my inspiration for my first single ‘I Need.’
Besides Tomorrowland, do you have any venues or festivals you’ve been dreaming of performing at?
I think it’s super sick to be able to play at Coachella next year because my favorite artists play at Coachella.
You’re also scheduled to perform throughout the summer at Ushuaia in Ibiza. What are your thoughts on being on the other side of the party in Ibiza? How does the Ibiza party scene compare to other places you’ve played?
It is my first time in Ibiza and that I am on the Mainstage in support of Martin Garrix is really incredible, I can’t wait to play there! It’s going to be a lot of fun!
