Adding another dancefloor destroyer to his arsenal of mainstage-ready tracks, Habstrakt is returning with what he refers to his “grungiest and dirtiest” song yet. The man has proven that he knows how to throw together a hit, frequently adding heavy synths over powerful, pulsating basslines and his latest single follows that formula. “Control” is out now via Tchami’s
CONFESSION label.
Listen: Habstrakt – Control
Similar to his 2019 releases “All Night” and “Darkness,” “Control” will give fans a taste of Habstrakt’s raw emotion within an incredibly intoxicating tune. Truly flexing his production chops once again, Habstrakt continuously reminds us why his tunes stay on top of the festival circuit. Stating that his new song is “inspired by the smell of burnt cars and tear gas, by the
sound of drum N bass and UK house,” Habstrakt explains that the song came about after an excruciatingly frustrating period of writer’s block. In essence, it’s “like a middle finger to anything predictable and repetitive.”
Habstrakt’s distinctive production style and sound have seen him remix the likes of Skrillex & Diplo, MUST DIE!, Barely Alive, Kill The Noise & Feed Me among many more over the years, alongside his own original tracks. His unique sound cleverly bridges an array of bass genres, flirting with house, future bass, and dubstep. Following the release of his iconic festival anthem
and collaboration with Skrillex, Chicken Soup, Habstrakt has toured extensively throughout the world playing some of the biggest music festivals such as EDC Las Vegas, Electric Zoo Festival New York and Field Day in Sydney to name a few. Habstrakt continues to push his signature sound forward with recent releases on Never Say Die, Mad Decent and Spinnin Records. You can catch Habstrakt next at Paradiso Festival Seattle, Audiotistic Bay Area, and Lollapalooza Paris.
