On
the wake of a March North American tour concluding with their Dusky
Presents Miami Music Week showcase, Nick Harriman and Alfie
Granger-Howell aka Dusky present the first taste of their forthcoming
artist LP ‘Outer” in the electronica and rave mutation ‘Ingrid Is A
Hybrid’.
This
Friday’s Hottest Record In The World on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show,
‘Ingrid Is A Hybrid’ brings together trademark Dusky touches – clean,
club-heavy production, inventive use of vocal samples and classy,
melodic textures – into a unique hybrid that breaks new ground for the
duo but sounds unmistakably Dusky.
In
their own words, “we spent a lot of time discussing which single we
should share first from our forthcoming album and all eventually agreed
that ‘Ingrid Is A Hybrid’ was the right choice,” explained Nick and
Alfie. “It references a lot of the wider influences and tastes we have
explored with our album, but also feels like a natural progression for
what Dusky represents to us. We hope you like it.”
Available
now on all download stores and streaming services, ‘Ingrid Is A Hybrid’
also coincides with the sold-out debut of Dusky’s live show at London’s
Village Underground this Saturday plus the announcement of further live
performances this summer at tastemaker festivals such as London’s Field
Day, Manchester’s Parklife, Roskilde (Denmark) and Pitch (Holland),
with many more to be announced.
Ingrid Is A Hybrid is available via iTunes and Spotify.
