The Dim Mak crew has had quite an eventful summer since Billboard first announced the stage in conjunction with the release of Bright Lights and 3LAU’s “Runaway” remix package. Rain Man’s chart-topping single “Bring Back The Summer (feat. OLY)” hit #1 on the Mediabase Dance Chart and he released the official music video (view here). It isn’t the only video buzzing right now, as Aoki recently released his Netflix documentary, I’ll Sleep When I’m DeadAdditionally, Aoki’s club-oriented EP 4OKI, which saw him team up with Dim Mak cohorts Autoerotique, MORTEN, Shaun Frank, and Reid Stefan, peaked at #5 on iTunes Dance releases. The EP, alongside its stunning visuals, drew praise from The Wall Street Journal, Harper’s Bazaar, Nasty Gal and Billboard, who called the EP cuts Aoki’s “most daring musical offerings in years.” Reflecting on 20 years of Dim Mak, Aoki is honored to bring the label to Electric Zoo this year:

“New York has always held a special place in my heart, and it makes me proud to bring our Dim Mak 20th Anniversary to the EZoo stage. I started Dim Mak Records in my college dorm room in 1996 as a punk/hardcore label, and since then have evolved the roster to include different sounds from artists from all over the world. Can’t wait to bring our madness to the Electric Zoo x New York family!” – Steve Aoki
