Saturday, August 27th, marks Electric Beach’s second venture in the lone star state, the first being a Memorial Day blow-out at Dallas’ Sisufeaturing Party Favor, Ape Drums, Wish FM, Carlyle, and Inzo. Not done with Dallas yet, Electric Beach will be returning to Sisu on August 27thfrom 2pm-8pm. Joining the party this time, Electric Beach has recruited headliner SNBRN and special guest Hook N Sling to bring on the beats. In May of 2014 the SNBRN project was launched with a series of viral covers and remixes. He was quickly met with a series of career milestones including: multiple Hype Machine chart topping releases, garnering tens of millions of plays on SoundCloud and YouTube, and direct support from Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1. With official releases on Atlantic, Astralwerks, Spinnin’ Records, Ultra, Republic and Sony, the SNBRN brand has rapidly solidified itself as an overnight sensation in the indie dance and house music worlds.
The first SNBRN single ‘Raindrops feat. Kerli’ was released January 20th on Ultra Records. “Raindrops” has already garnered over 14 million plays on Spotify and well over 2 million on SoundCloud. It also reached #2 on the HypeM Charts, #12 on the iTunes Dance singles chart, and #25 on Billboard’s Electronic/Dance Music Chart. SNBRN’s official remix of Marvin Gaye’s “Sexual Healing” hit #1 on HypeM and quickly climbed into the Top 10 House chart on Beatport. Simultaneously, Chris Lake and Matroda’s official remix of SNBRN’s single “California” went #2 overall on Beatport.

Hook N Sling made his biggest early splash was the gold-selling, Hype Machine-topping, YouTube 10-million-spinning ‘Take You Higher’ (with Goodwill), re-imagining Angus & Julia Stone’s “Big Jet Plane” in an unexpected mesh of folk-blues and mainroom house. A year later his breakout #2 Beatport single ‘Reason’ (with NERVO) made more waves and became a catch-cry anthem for the dance floor (and notched up another 10m+ Youtube count).
Fast-forwarding to 2014, Hook kicked off the year with his epic collaboration with Empire of the Sun, ‘Celebrate,’ showing his unrelenting pursuit of future sounds and unexpected pairings. Most recently Hook turned heads with a genre-defying and rather aptly-titled weapon named ‘Momentum.’ Dubbed a ‘career-defining track’ by Earmilk and ‘one of the most pivotal tracks of the year’ by Insomniac, the track rightly took out the coveted #1 DMC Buzz Chart spot at ADE and exemplified Hook’s own brand of dance music – meticulously crafted, infectiously danceable, and constantly surprising.
