Rauschen – Layton Giordani, Bart Skils

Originally from New York, Layton Giordani became internationally known as a resident in the now-shuttered Brooklyn Club Output. First releases on Truesoul and Drumcode paved his way to Amsterdam. With label mate Bart Skills and Adam Beyer in the studio, he has reworked one of the greatest trance classics of the 1990s: Peter Lazonby – Sacred Cycles. Music to fly. On the Waterfloor plays the Berlin live duo Atlantic. Shlomsen, as well as our homies Koljah and Dennis Kuhl, make everything clear on the decks before and after.

If you want to experience the nightlife of Brazil, you can hardly miss the Warung Beach Club on the coast of Santa Catarina. In addition to the D-Edge in Sao Paulo definitely one of the shops that have been setting standards there for years and therefore a permanent station of our Watergate Residents in South America. Today the Brazilians Renato Ratier, Boghosian and Rick Maia are playing in Berlin and we will give them a reception they will not forget for a while. We are tough on you! Musically, it fits in well with Messrs. Welcome to the annual class reunion of the rave nobility from Offenbach, Frankfurt am Main and Berlin. When Ricardo, Zip, Ata, Vera, and Anhang get-together for a summer danceathon in mid-July, veterans know what’s going on. Kreuzberg nights are long. First things start very slowly. RISE – Unity in Diversity

David Mayer MINCO SURAJ JAMIIE Foozak Dylan-S Helen Ting
here’s an African proverb that says, “If you want to go fast travel alone. If you want to go far travel together.” That’s the spirit of RISE. RISE is an event company, record label, and a movement founded by Hyenah, Floyd Lavine, and Dede in 2015 to showcase quality artists who are from Africa or are influenced by African culture. Through the love of African-inspired electronic music, MINCO, JAMIIE, and Walter Griot joined the movement and completed the collective. RISE is about UNITY in DIVERSITY RISE is based on an understanding that differences enrich human interactions rather than diminish them. Music has always been a vessel to connect people. The mission of RISE is to unite and create a bridge between Africa, Europe, and the rest of the world through house, techno, and African influences. The core essence is to create a unique space where people can feel safe to express themselves, no matter their ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, or social status. Everyone is invited to dance, to embrace and celebrate what Africa is about in the electronic music scene, to feel the spirit and sensuality of the sound. RISE is refining HOUSE and TECHNO off the beaten path.

The Spell

A night full of contrasts. If you like to take a trip with more and less speed, you should get your money’s worth. Upstairs, the duo Super Flu, Watergate resident Matthias Meyer and Rise crew member Hyenah play knee-deep in melodic techno and African house. Down by the water we welcome Israeli Kadosh, who just launched his own label “Frau Blau” after his debut on Innervisions, as well as URSL’s Madmotormiquel and Brina Knauss from Milan.

Nacht Club

The Ukrainian duo Artbat are the classic whiz-starters. Test runway? Drive up? Given. Their first release “Mandrake” on the Swiss label Definition Music became an international hit from scratch, with Richie Hawtin and Solomun adding the number to their sets several times. The latter did not hesitate too long and released further productions on Diynamic. Most recently Artbat with Whomadewho were on Watergate Records. The Russian Dj Yulia Niko has landed in Berlin with Residencies for the Forbidden and Heart in Miami not so long ago after a long stay in the U.S. and since then more or less regularly with Watergate Club. Joined by Kevin de Vries and Justin Massei.
