1000volts, the duo consisting of hip-hop legend, Redman, and world-renowned turntablist and producer, Jayceeoh are back to share a new song “Kill Em” in collaboration with Zeds Dead out now on DeadBeats. The track is a supercharged crowd-pleaser that’s complemented perfectly by the masterful lyricism of Redman along with the production of Zeds Dead and Jayceeoh’s ability to meld their signature electronic sounds into a hard-hitting hip-hop track.
Toronto’s Zeds Dead is no stranger to meshing Electronic and hip-hop as they’ve done in the past with classic rappers like Sean Price, Styles P, Pusha T, and Jadakiss. The new track comes right on the heels of the launch of Zeds Dead’s 2nd Annual Deadbeats North American tour, which kicked off on June 9th in Salt Lake City and will consist of 17 shows across the continent before concluding in Seattle on November 30th.
Redman’s epic career define the glory days of Hip-Hop, and his collaborations with Method Man and featured collaborations with Wu-Tang Clan occupy a large part of the Rap narrative in the United States.
As the brainchild of Zeds Dead, Deadbeats label recently released singles from Devault, DNMO, GG Magree, Hunter Siegel, an EP from Champagne Drip, and a remix EP for Zeds Dead and Illenium’s track “Where The Wild Things Are.” Forthcoming Deadbeats releases include Shades, Space Jesus, Chuurch, LICK, um…, and a highly anticipated third installment of their We Are Deadbeats compilation series.
