Calgary’s invigorating bass producer Wildfire brings the heat on his New Noise debut “Inferno.” Using foreboding vocal chops and fierce synths, Wildfire creates an explosive trap offering. “Inferno” has already seen support from Steve Aoki and MORTEN, the latter of whom included the single in his Dim Mak Miami 2017 mix.
Wildfire set the world aflame with his 2015 future bass remix of Alison Wonderland’s “Run.” The track hit #8 on Hypem and has accrued over 1.3M streams to date. Since then, Wildfire has dropped striking reworks time after time including his future bass remix of Major Lazer’s “Be Together,” his chill trap remix of Autolaser and PLS&TY’s “Hiding from the Rain,” and his DEVAULT collaborative remix of RL Grime’s “Always.” Music blogs across the spectrum have seen potential in the Canadian producer, with sites like YourEDM, This Song Slaps, and EDMTunes dubbing his music as “fantastic,” “awesomely powerful,” and “remarkable.” Even more, Run the Trap featured Wildfire’s original track “Nasty” on Vol. 001 of their new series “The Inbox,” specifically created to find the “freshest sounds” from some of the “best up and comers” in the game.
New Noise is Dim Mak’s new music discovery imprint that focuses on cutting edge sounds from burgeoning artists across the genre spectrum. Launched in 2010, New Noise got its start as a compilation series highlighting fresh faces handpicked by Steve Aoki and crew. By 2015, the platform evolved into a bi-weekly, free-download model based on singles. New Noise’s current incarnation is a copyright free model that allows the budding community of Twitch gamers and amateur YouTube content creators to use New Noise music in their videos and live streams sans purchase or fees, all in exchange for linking back to the artists and their music.
