Combining core elements of rap, trap, and grime, London’s Stööki Sound premiere the official music video for their transcontinental single “Burbs” featuring Philadelphia rapper Bok Nero. Released today via Complex, the visual follows the trio as they travel through the streets and subway stations of their respective hometowns. The video premiere follows the track’s recent live debut on the Dim Mak Stage at Tomorrowland 2017.
The brainchild of DJ Lukey and Jelacee, Stööki Sound established themselves by pushing the boundaries of bass music while integrating grime and hip-hop roots. Deriving their name from the Stööki art collective, which is comprised of a trifecta of Sound, Vision, and Play, the UK duo gained widespread recognition shortly after the release of their monster trap collaboration with Hucci titled “Ball So Hard.” The single instantly became a trapstep favorite, accumulating over 25 million on-demand streams to date. Earlier this year, Stööki Sound made their Dim Mak debut with “Echoes” alongside Latroit and Lliam Taylor, and completed an international “Off the Endz Tour” with Joker.
The Stööki movement spans throughout Fashion, Music and Art, as they curate, produce and design wearable products and experiences. Their latest foray into jewelry is “Reform,” a seven-piece 18-carat gold collection launching on October 5, 2017. Executed with geometric precision and inspired by nature, the selection brings together premium streetwear elements with geological forms. Featured in the “Burbs” music video is the Cano Necklace, which draws influence from active lava’s continuous energy flow, transforming and remolding all in it’s path. Ahead of the necklace official release, Dim Mak is hosting a giveaway.

Accompanying Stööki Sound on this fiery single is Philadelphia rapper Bok Nero, who first rose to prominence under mega-producer/artist Jahlil Beats’ wing. Just over a year ago, the rapper and his mentor released their collaborative EP Lorde of Legions, which received accolades from Fader, FACT, and HotNewHipHop, while quickly solidifying Bok Nero’s name as an artist to watch. Additionally, Bok Nero was featured on numerous hit tracks, including Zomboy’s recent banger “Rotten,” which reached #1 on Beatport’s Hip-Hop/R&B Top 100, and Steve Aoki’s “Kolony Anthem” alongside iLOVEMAKONNEN. He released his first solo single of 2017, titled “Notice M3 Senpai!,” via Dim Mak at the end of August.
