Berlin Nightlife – Watergate Week 50

Upcoming events at Watergate – December 12, 2018 thru December 15, 2018

Everything in life has two sides. You can both play Taverna Tracks. With his label, Stassy is one of the classics at Watergate, because every track is a declaration of love. Berlin House through and through, smooth, minimal, bouncing. After their wild times in illegal off-site-location parties, they landed at Watergate several years ago. With full vigor, they are still there.

The name Maceo Plex stands for dark dance music at the highest level. No wonder, he has become one of the big Tastemaker of the scene in recent years. Of course, his own label ELLUM comes along a bit idiosyncratically. Publications come at most once a month and are fundamentally different musically. Sometimes very melodic, sometimes classically minimal or very futuristic. With Shall Ocin, Dino Lenny and Gardens of God we have three exciting new acts from Argentina, Lithuania, and the UK

Diynamic mastermind Solomun says that much of the success of his label goes to Hosh. Slight trend affirmations are obvious, but in the end, he relies on the consistency of his own values, which has given him a damn sure standing in the pop-house house circus of the hour. Berlin-based Nico Stojan, who has released his debut album “Twisted Manners“on URSL and has just launched his own label “Ouie” with Acid Pauli, rides on the same wave. Great also the woman in today’s round. Britta is certainly one of the strongest from Berlin with potential for the very top.

If there’s a techno festival going on anywhere on Earth right now, chances are that Pan-Pot will be part of the line-up. It would probably be easy to clarify where they won’t be this Friday, December 15th. Their gigs in Berlin have become rare due to their tight calendar. All the more, many would be happy to see them back to Watergate at the end of the year.
