New York is in for a treat this August as drum & bass prodigy Netsky releases his new track “Running Low” on August 24 before closing out the summer by headling Electric Zoo’s Riverside stage on Sunday, August 31. Meanwhile, watch Netsky’s official video for “Running Lowbelow before the end of summer bash.
“Running Low” received its radio debut as one of Zane Lowe’s Hottest Records on BBC Radio 1, and boasts a stellar remix package courtesy of Todd Edwards, Wookie and Fred V & Grafix. The remix package is being offered as a free download through the Shazam promotion. The official music video brings to life the heady vocals of Beth Ditto against Netsky’s infamous supercharged drum and bass melodies.
Hailing from Belguim, Netsky has, in a few short years, built a reputation for delivering relentlessly on-point, hard hitting drum & bass anthems which have earned him numerous awards and accolades the world over. Signing to Hospital Records in 2009, releases such as “Memory Lane” and his infamous self-titled debut album Netsky propelled the talented young producer from Antwerp into a meteoritic rise to quickly become one of the most talked about and talented names within the electronic music world. His trademark sound, an explosive fusion of stirring vocals with a unique and soulful take on the drum & bass sound, has earned him respect and support from across the industry and an extensive, dedicated global fan base.
After signing with JHO Management, and then consequently to Epic Records for his first major release, “Running Low,” which has just charted at Number 1 in the Official Belgian singles chart, is the first taste of new material from Netsky, who has been locked in the studio, busily working on his third album which will released later in 2014.
Seamlessly blurring the lines between artist and superstar producer, Netsky also boasts an impressive cast list of remix duties, having remixed a number of huge anthems including Pendulum’s “Witchcraft”, Swedish House Mafia’s “One” and Rusko’s “Everyday”, which has since garnered nearly 18 million views on YouTube. Netsky tracks now account for 3 out of the 5 most viewed videos on UKF!
This summer sees another jam-packed touring schedule for Netsky, inclusing a headlining slot at New York’s premier electronic music festival, Electric Zoo next month. One thing’s for sure, 2014 is looking to be a groundbreaking year of massive proportions for Belgium’s premium DJ export.
