Chicago-based artist Mielo is celebrating the two year anniversary of the release of his top-charting debut single “Surreal” with his third original. Available now to stream and purchase, “All We’ve Lost” featuring vocalist Danél, is a heartfelt piece driven by an uplifting melody. The single takes shape through glitchy, electric guitar-replicated synths, and finds support with a bass line that shifts in tempo. Danél’s airy vocals tie the song together as her voice melts into the production.
“This song is me getting back to the roots of the mindset I had when I started this project. I wanted to make uplifting alternative electronic music. Surreal was the last time I wrote a song in major key and I wanted to channel more of an uplifting feel in this song & channel the feelings I had when I had nothing happening and it was just me in a bedroom with no SoundCloud yet.” – Mielo
Clasically trained in music, Mielo got his start as a pianist and trumpet player. His experiences as a musician sparked his desire to pursue a career that would allow him to perform music live.
