Swedish electronic music stalwart Jeremy Olander announces his long-awaited debut album When The Rain Falls, marking a defining new chapter in his esteemed career. Set for release on March 13 via his imprint Vivrant, the album stands as a deeply personal and deliberate body of work – one shaped by years of artistic evolution, lived experience and creative introspection.

The album will be introduced by its first single, Apollo – a collaboration with rising Swedish duo Moontalk, due for release on February 6. Serving as an early window into the record’s emotional and sonic world, the track reflects Olander’s refined artistic direction: cinematic, atmospheric and forward facing.

The imminent release of Apollo and the announcement of his upcoming debut album signal a pivotal milestone in Olander’s career, arriving 15 years after his debut on Eric Prydz’s record label Pryda Friends in 2011. Long celebrated as a producer-first artist with a focussed melodic vision, Olander now steps into a new era defined by intention, emotional clarity and album-focused storytelling.

Apollo encapsulates this moment of transition. Marrying Olander’s cinematic, emotionally charged, melodic sensibility with Moontalk’s groovy, hypnotic house energy, the track signals a refined direction that moves beyond progressive house into a more unchartered, collaborative sound. It’s expansive yet playful, functional yet deeply emotive and a statement of artistic alignment rather than trend-driven collaboration.

Crystalizing years of artistic evolution, lived experience and creative introspection into his most deliberate body of work to date, the forthcoming album represents a deeper personal and creative reckoning for Olander. Shaped by a major life reset – including sobriety and becoming a father – the record channels themes of renewal, identity, exhaustion and rediscovered purpose. Rather than simply a selection of DJ-functional offerings, the album embraces considered pacing, informed by listening beyond the dancefloor and guided by lived experience, rather than external influence.

Speaking about the upcoming album, Jeremy Olander commented:

“This album means a lot to me beyond the music itself. It’s a closing and an opening. The end of the first chapter of my career and my life, and the beginning of the next. I started it at a time when I was stuck in a destructive headspace, and I finished it piece by piece as things improved and I made some necessary changes. It’s very personal, so putting it out there feels both scary and incredibly exciting.”

In support of When The Rain Falls, Olander will embark on an extensive world tour with his album-focused DJ sets. The first phase of the tour spans North America, Europe, Australia and Asia. The tour launches on March 13 in Houston, coinciding with the album’s release, and includes stops in Dallas, Montreal, Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Stockholm, Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, Seoul, London, Manchester, Chicago, Vancouver, New York City and Boston, among others. Known for performances built almost entirely around his own productions, the tour will showcase a more immersive, narrative-driven approach, reflecting the emotional depth and pacing of the album itself.

Since emerging as the first artist to sign a multi-release deal on Pryda Friends, Olander has carved out a distinct path in electronic music, releasing on Last Night On Earth, Diynamic, Drumcode, Watergate Records and Anjunadeep, and delivering remixes for Tove Lo, Digitalism, Nils Hoffmann, Henry Saiz, and others. In 2014, he founded Vivrant, now a globally respected label and event series spotlighting melodic and atmospheric electronic music. His performance history includes sharing the stage with Eric Prydz at Madison Square Garden and Brixton Academy, countless global festival appearances, and becoming the first Nordic artist to feature on Cercle.

Moontalk, the dynamic Swedish duo of Edwin Lindberg and Lukas Hällgren, have swiftly ascended from the underground to the forefront of the global electronic music scene. With years of experience as seasoned producers and a track record of hundreds of millions of streams, Edwin and Lukas bring their shared passion for alternative electronic music to life through their work as DJs, producers and artists. Following the massive success of their track Money, which claimed the #1 spot on the Beatport Indie Dance Chart and earned support from tastemakers including Jamie Jones, the pair has maintained momentum with a string of standout releases and international acclaim. Most recently, they released Hot Line ‘84 on Ben Sterling’s label Planet X (who also remixed the track) which garnered support from Mau P and other key figures in the scene. Their collaboration with Olander reflects a shared Swedish lineage and a mutual commitment to forward-thinking, emotionally resonant dance music.
