On Friday 8th September, emerging UK house act Jacky is set to host a charitable gig at The Whiskey Jar, Manchester in aid of close family member; Willow. A few years ago, Willow, was diagnosed with Lyme disease; a bacterial infection that is transferred to humans by tick bites. Unfortunately, the treatment that is required for this illness is currently only available in the USA, meaning the medical bills are becoming very expensive.
The Rave For Willow event will be an intimate party, with a limited capacity of only 100 people. All proceeds made from the event will go directly towards Willow’s Lyme disease treatment. Jacky has enlisted the help of close friends and fellow DJ’s to give the 100 party goers a night to remember. The line up includes the man himself going back to back with seminal British house act Josh Butler. There will also be sets from 5eighty6, Elléot, and Sharples.
For those who are unable to attend, but are keen to get behind such an amazing cause, Jacky and the rest of Willow’s family have set up a JustGiving crowdfunding page in order to further raise money for the cost of the treatment. The link for this crowdfunding page can be found here.
