Following the premieres of singles “Ryat” and “Colors” – Toronto based electronic music producer ATTLAS releases his brand new EP, Bloom, out now via mau5trap. Bloom alludes to his mastery of varying soundscapes with an arrangement of five forward-thinking and diverse pieces of music, sequenced perfectly to showcase the producer’s vast repertoire and capacity for an increasingly comprehensive sound.

The first single “Shadow Play” starts the EP off on an uplifting ride with an addictive melody and infectious vocals, against a backdrop of stuttering kicks, as ATTLAS drives the track forward with a live played bass guitar. “Ryat” is a smooth flowing house track, full of soft chords and deep humming bass, which made it’s debut with Zane Lowe on Beats1. Moving into more cinematic territories, “Colors,” is an intimate track with breathtaking vocals atop heart-tugging piano chords, and brilliant orchestral percussion. “I Need You More”, debuted by deadmau5, features an ambient and folk tinged build along with understated drums that let the rhythms and mellow mood stand out. Hitting a complete 180 from the other four tracks, “Avenue Road” closes out the EP with melancholic piano chords, soft acoustic guitar plucks, celestial soundscapes, haunting vocals,  just letting you know it’s ok to go outside, breath in, breath out and enjoy the world in any way you can.

Jeff Hartford aka ATTLAS is a Canadian producer, DJ and classically trained musician. Jeff draws from a bevy of influences such as jazz, classical, rock, techno, and experimental to create his own distinct sound. As ATTLAS Jeff has produced three six track EPs (Siren, Scene & Sin), a number of stand alone singles, and a slew of high profile and wide ranging mixes. Hits from Tove Lo, Aphex Twin and even Rihanna’s “Bitch Better Have My Money,” and “Needed Me” have all received the ATTLAS touch, with BBHMM voted 2nd best remix of 2015 (Billboard). Now, for 2016 ATTLAS has been named “One To Watch” by Billboard, and has toured with the likes of Nero, Zed’s Dead, Alison Wonderland and most recently joined deadmau5 himself for back to back sets and on the North American mau5hax Bus Tour, before joining him in the studio to live stream and create the collab “Bad At Titles” in only 5 hours. His first release “Aspen” this year has set the tone for what’s to follow, with two further EPs and singles planned throughout the year alongside a number of festival dates.
