CRSSD Festival today announced its after-dark and warm-up programming for its Fall event, completing the event’s programming with a city-spanning foray of world-class acts.
FNGRS CRSSD’s own Bang Bang welcomes All Day Dream’s Lee Burridge for a Friday weekend opener, followed by a Saturday night DJ set from Breakbot, and a very special Sunday closing party with Richie Hawtin and guests. Music Box will play host to a live set from Mura on Saturday and a Cut Copy DJ set alongside Gerd Jansen on Sunday. The labyrinthine halls of Spin will once again open its doors to CRSSD fans, this time for a Saturday showing from Patrick Topping and KINK Live, then a Sunday closing party from Solardo b2b Latmun. Chris Lake will take over El Camino for a Saturday night party, with Kettner Exchange continuing the open air vibes with Bearson on Saturday afternoon and SAINT WKND on Sunday afternoon.
CRSSD Festival also revealed its collaboration with Richie Hawtin’s ENTER.Sake brand, bringing a premium Sake Bar and a special International Sake Day celebration to its Fall 2017 event.
On October 1, International Sake Day, Hawtin will curate a special ENTER.Sake experience on-site at CRSSD Festival, in partnership with San Diego’s Bang Bang Sushi Restaurant. CRSSD attendees will be able to sample ENTER’s signature ENTER.SAKE Black – Honjozo, the small batch brewed ENTER.SAKE Sookuu – Junmai, as well as the fragrant and aromatic ENTER.SAKE Silver – Junmai Ginjo, in a series of food and Sake pairings, and unique Sake cocktails.
Hawtin will also host a fan facing Sake Pouring Hour on Oct 1, where he will discuss his passion for Sake while pouring drinks and meeting fans. (DO WE HAVE TIME?)
Following the festival, the International Sake Day celebrations will continue into the night with an intimate performance with Hawtin at Bang Bang. Bang Bang is a performance venue built on the fusion of aural and edible exploration, and on International Sake Day will showcase world-renowned Techno and a finely tuned ENTER.Sake menu. CRSSD is a spring/fall, the 21+ festival taking place at Waterfront Park, on the Bay of San Diego. CRSSD debuted in March 2015 with a sold out event, and is presented by FNGRS CRSSD.
