New York, NY (December 26
th, 2013) – Global superstar DJ/producer Ferry Corsten rings in the new year once again with his annual “Corsten’s Countdown” live eight-hour radio broadcast taking place this year on December 30th, 2013, from 10:00am to 6:00pm Eastern Time. As with two out of the previous three live eight-hour worldwide interactive broadcasts of Corsten’s Countdown, CC2013 will originate from the state-of-the-art studios of SiriusXM Radio in Rockefeller Center, New York City, just steps from Times Square and hours before the New Year’s Eve ball drop. The eight-hour broadcast can be heard on SiriusXM channel “Electric Area,” on the official Corsten’s Countdown website, via the Ferry Corsten app, and through Corsten’s Countdown radio partners worldwide. From now until the start of the broadcast, listeners are encouraged to send in their song requests and share their memories of 2013 on the Corsten’s Countdown site. The final hour of the marathon broadcast will see the “top 10” tracks as determined by listeners logging in from around the globe. What is unique about this live broadcast is not only that it is eight-hours and totally live, but that it will be simulcast around the world allowing dance music lovers the unique opportunity to be joined in real-time on this festive occasion. The previous CC2012 live broadcast reached Twitter trending status three times during that broadcast, and CC2013 promises to deliver some lasting memories of its own.

2013 has been an especially active year for Corsten, a respected veteran and pioneer of the electronic dance music (EDM) scene. His weekly Corsten’s Countdown radio show is the only EDM interactive music chart show and is broadcast in more than 50 countries via 216 radio stations. Corsten’s hit single, “Many Ways” featuring Jenny Wahlström (Flashover Recordings), has been steadily impacting radio and consistently wreaking havoc on dancefloors; Armin van Buuren even played the single twice on his “A State Of Trance” radio show. Corsten’s biggest challenge may be finding open dates on his overflowing tour calendar to play either a straight DJ set, a FULL ON (Hosted By Ferry Corsten) performance, or a New World Punx show with that act’s partner, Markus Schulz. Corsten’s Once Upon A Night-Vol. 4 mix compilation has just been release
