Budweiser STORM Festival today revealed its biggest lineup of its 2017 IGNITE season – STORM Shanghai. The festivals will feature performances from dance music icons like The Chemical Brothers and Axwell^Ingrosso, as well as some of the biggest names in modern EDM like MarshmelloKygoMijaJauzCarnage and more.

STORM Shanghai (9/23 – 9/24) is slated to be STORM’s biggest festival to date with over 30,000 attendees. The festival will showcase massive talents like the new face of EDM, Marshmello, who headlines day one. Day 2 will see Tropical House pioneer and remix-extraordinaire Kygo bring his globally recognized tunes to China. We’ll also see performances from other EDM giants like OWSLA queen Mija, Brazilian house-music superstar Alok, Shark-squad founder and bass-bringer Jauz, trap maestros LOUDPVCK and Chinese EDM sensation Chace.

Budweiser STORM Festival has more events to go this year, and will be the first Chinese music festival to expand overseas, hosting a festival in Sydney, Australia. In the last four years, the festival has emerged as the pre-eminent electronic music festival in Asia. The festival’s other-worldly back-story, signature stage designs, and its narrative-driven production has become a huge hit in Asia, transporting hundred of thousands to another world soundtracked by some of the world’s biggest electronic music artists. 2017’s production concepts will revolve around the theme of “IGNITE”.

STORM organizer A2LiVE has hosted Skrillex, David Guetta, Hardwell and many more international stars in its past, and 2017 will see STORM bringing, once again, the biggest names in electronic music to China, as well as showcasing the region’s incredible local talent. 2017 also sees the Shanghai-based promoter bringing electronic music’s largest global conference, International Music Summit (IMS) Asia Pacific to China on September 21-22, and releasing the hottest dance tracks on STORM Records, in partnership with Spinnin’ Records.

The first five Budweiser STORM Festival events has seen headliners like Afrojack, Alok, Far East Movement, R3HAB, Showtek, Ummet Ozcan, W&W, Axwell^Ingrosso,Don Diablo, Bassjackers, Alan Walker and Carnage play alongside the likes of Curbi, Dyro, Firebeatz, King Arthur, King Chain, Kura, Pep & Rach, Swanky Tunes, Tony Junior & Wiwek. This cross-section of genres, tempos and styles embodies the diverse and rapidly-expanding electronic music culture in China.
