Under the influence of electro, speed garage and future R&B, Atlanta native Niko The Kid mixes a potent electronic music cocktail on his Dim Mak debut EP, On The Run.
New to the Dim Mak roster, Georgia-native Niko The Kid is backed by astounding credentials. Taking inspiration from his southern upbringing, Niko has honed a unique synthesis of hip-hop, pop, deep house, and hard-hitting electronic sounds, which soon caught on with Hip Hop’s elite as he started producing ATL beats for Akon, Young Thug, and Gucci Mane at just 18 years old. After relocating to Los Angeles to further develop his craft, Niko was commissioned to produce official remixes for Ceelo Green’s “Music To My Soul,” Tinashe’s “Player,” and Parson James’ “Temple.” In addition to remixes, Niko The Kid’s discography bolsters original material on Heldeep Records, Spinnin, Armada, and Mixmash.
This summer is shaping up to be a big one for Niko The Kid, beginning with the release of his new club banger “On It.” Immediately following, ODESZA dropped their buzzing single “Higher Ground,” which was penned by Niko, Naomi Wild and Bee’s Knees and is quickly approaching 2 million on demand streams in just two weeks. Ahead of his EP launch, Niko linked up with Dim Mak to contribute a deep house rework of Laidback Luke and Made in June’s “Paradise (feat.
