One of today’s most exciting voices in electronic music, producer and musician Amtrac has unveiled his latest release, True Value. The second release to arrive off Amtrac’s newly formed OPENERS label, True Value is a four-track EP that notes another step in the producer’s sonic evolution.

True Value kicks things off with its debut single “Accessorize,” a pulsating and atmospheric romp through sharp synth stabs and rhythmic drums. “IDKILY” and “Escalator” follow suit, both featuring haunting and echo melodies alongside vast, sweeping tones. “Some of Them” rounds off the tracklist, featuring soulful vocals from singer MELI alongside a barrage of bass lines and disco-infused chords.

Debuted via Mixmag, “Some of Them” was born through the melding of Amtrac and MELI at Mixmag and Smirnoff Sound Collective’s two-day artist retreat earlier this year. Serving as a global initiative celebrating diversity and inclusivity in electronic music, the artist retreat offered the two artists a chance to meet for the first time, working together in an open and collaborative space alongside the tranquil landscapes of Rancho V in Joshua Tree.

A critically-acclaimed producer, musician, DJ and vocalist, Amtrac has established himself as a quadruple-threat, with versatility serving as part of his signature calling card. Raised on a varied palate of influences since his childhood in Morehead, Kentucky, the producer’s wealth of musical knowledge has led to an unmatched diversity across his productions as well as his performances. Labeled as one of Pete Tong’s “Future Stars” of 2017, Amtrac has only seen continued success, with the release of his Lost In Motion EP, sold-out tours, and the launch of his OPENERS imprint. This year also saw the release of his 1987 EP, in addition to a praised performance at Coachella’s Do Lab Stage.
