Yotto “Cooper’s Cup” Out Now on Anjunadeep
Following on the heels of his acclaimed track “The Owls,” which received the rare distinction of being both Annie Mac’s ‘Hottest Record in the World’ and Pete Tong’s ‘Essential New Tune’ in the same week, Yotto is now set to release “Cooper’s Cup” on Anjunadeep. The second installment of a three-part series inspired by a childhood love of the Twin Peaks TV show, “Cooper’s Cup” is out today, August 26th.
“Cooper’s Cup” begins dark and deep, building with a brooding groove and heavy synth that eventually unveil a goosebump-raising bassline. The 8-minute cut once again showcases Yotto’s ability to walk the line of the melodic yet club-ready track. The tune exemplifies what he has become known for: atmospheric dance-floor bangers packed full of emotion and energy.
One of Finland’s finest exports, Yotto, aka Otto Yliperttula, started making music at just 12 years old. He began releasing on Anjunadeep in 2015 with tracks like “Azzurro” and “Memento,” which garnered support from huge stars ranging from Gorgon City to Tiësto. Since then he has remixed Coldplay, RÜFÜS, Above & Beyond and Lane 8, released a string of successful singles, and received an unprecedented four Essential New Tune selections by Pete Tong. He’s gained additional Radio 1 heavyweight support from Annie Mac, B.Traits, Danny Howard and Phil Taggart, plus widespread support from an awe-inspiring list of artists, including Laurent Garnier, Jamie Jones, Claptone, Dusky, deadmau5, Edu Imbernon, Guy Gerber, Kidnap Kid, Kölsch, Mind Against, Paco Osuna, Thugfucker, Sasha, and many, many more.
