Following the release of his acclaimed single, “Lose My Mind,” and last month’s collaborative EP Close Your Eyes with Walker & Royce, Grammy-nominated DJ/producer Chris Lake unveils the latest hit to come off his Black Book Records imprint, teaming up with fellow producer DESTRUCTO on “Y.O.D.O.” With the pair performing alongside each other at DESTRUCTO’s inaugural All My Friends Music Festival in downtown Los Angeles this August, “Y.O.D.O.” is a breezy, house-fueled summer anthem. A pulsating blend of smooth, melodic productions and punching snares, “Y.O.D.O” showcases each producer’s signature style while serving as an ideal fit for any festival ground.

Across Chris Lake’s ongoing list of accomplishments, one will find countless Billboard chart-toppers, a platinum record, a Grammy nomination, and a Midas touch for tapping into rising talent. Realizing his vision and turning his attention towards the development of his premier record label, Chris partnered with music discovery platform WAV in 2017 for the creation of Black Book Records. Best known for his funk-infused club smashes, Chris’ debut release “Operator” on Black Book slated itself as the go-to dance floor anthem at the top of the year, gaining support from Claude VonStroke, Disclosure, Green Velvet, Duke Dumont and more. Closing out the main stage at EDC Las Vegas this past spring, Chris Lake announced his latest project Anti Up with Chris Lorenzo, debuting their first performance to the festival’s sold-out crowd and releasing the single “Pizza” under the moniker last month. With a bevy of forthcoming singles and collaborations, in addition to noted performances this summer at Lollapalooza, Splash House, Bonnaroo, Electric Forest and more, this fall sees Chris on the road for his multi-date run on The Black Book Experience Tour.
Since 2011, DESTRUCTO (Gary Richards) has dominated the dance floor on his own terms. He went from the acclaimed Technology EP (2012) and Higher EP (2013) to high profile remixes for artists as diverse as Depeche Mode, Giorgio Moroder, Major Lazer, Rob Zombie, Digitalism and more. 2014 saw the precision-guided producer in the realm of G-House (where rap melds with house music) introduce his singular solo style with the West Coast EP, boasting collaborations with YG, Ty Dolla $ign, Problem, Too $hort, Warren G and Kurupt. Along the way, he’s touched down for shows everywhere from Australia and Fiji to Tokyo and Ibiza in addition to crisscrossing the country on alongside the likes of D.R.A.M., E-40, iLoveMakonnen, Anna Lunoe, Wax Motif, REZZ, Felix Da Housecat and more. Released in early 2017, the RENEGADE EP features collaborations with E-40 and Too $hort, Ty Dolla $ign & iLoveMakonnen, Pusha T & Starrah, Problem and Freddie Gibbs.
