Tonight live from the Grammy’s Daft Punk and The Weeknd perfomed two songs from their collaborative tracks from 2016’s Starboy. The trio performance was introduced by Paris Jackson. Then, Daft Punk emerged in robes (lasers and fog galore), performing with Canadian’s Abel Tesfaye on a set that looks like a scene from an arctic iceberg snow cap. Watch it happen below.
Surprisingly, this marks Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter’s first live performance since their appearance at the 2014 Grammys. This year’s Grammy deadline passed, so no awards were given to Starboy. However, The Weeknd was nominated as a contributor to Beyoncé’s Lemonade. Daft Punk were not selected for any awards, but they do have an ongoing pop-up archive in West Hollywood. Check it out!
