Australian sensation, Flume, is perhaps the one electronic artist who most gracefully handled the transition from underground to the mainstream (while also retaining that all-important “street cred”). If his jump to the majors wasn’t as obvious a couple of years ago, it became undeniable last year with his album, Skin, which saw him featured on Billboard and countless others charts. One of the tracks from Skin, “Wall Fuck,” has caught the eye of two fellow electronic producers, one hailing from Slovenia (now NYC) and the other from Canada- Gramatik  and Ramzoid.

Flume’s “Wall Fuck” was one of the more experimental tracks on the album which might’ve been the reason it didn’t get as much attention as some of the others, until now. In the hands of veteran producer Gramatik who possesses a wealth of experience and the emerging Ramzoid with (seemingly) unlimited supply of fresh ideas, the track has mutated into a peak-hour stunner that is bound to rile up festival stages worldwide.

Both known to have a very unique sound, the two artists first teamed up when Ramzoid was asked to put his spin on Gramatik’s moody hip hop single from Epigram, “Native Son feat. Raekwon & Leo Napier.” The quality of the resulting remix caught Gramatik by surprise and had him praising the young producer from Prince Edward Island as an artist to keep an eye on. And Ramzoid certainly lived up to the hype – he is a member of the Soda Island collective and currently regarded as one of the most exciting young producers working in electronic music. Aside from releasing incredible original material – his most recent release, an EP titled “Maze,” is a perfect showcase of his forward thinking, trap-inspired sound. He’s also continued a string of excellent remixes for the likes of Jai Wolf, Louis The Child, CRNKN, Paper Lions and more.

On the other hand, Gramatik is also coming off an extremely busy year in which he released a new album Epigram and subsequent remix EP’s contributed by some of his favorite artists, toured around the globe and played many world renowned festivals. With big plans for the second part of 2017 that include headlining gigs at Colorado amphitheater Red Rocks and Paris’ Zenith, Gramatik is also steadily crafting a brand new project to be revealed soon.
