Released a few weeks ago, the tongue-in-cheek music video captures the “dirty disco” vibe of Throttle’s music in the most literal sense. Taking place on set during a 70’s-themed adult film shoot, we follow Velvet Jesus – the funk’d up director on his quest to make X-rated gold.
Unimpressed by his stars’ deflating performance, Velvet steps out of his director’s seat and shows the actors how it’s done – all whilst miming along to Throttle’s infectious track. From then on it becomes a glittery chaos – with help from the stagehands and female extras, the music video turns into a group affair with synchronised dance moves and some much needed censor bars. Flicking between backstage dressing rooms and the excessive set, the video is daring but cheeky. With a small cameo from Throttle himself, the 70’s adult film inspired video is sure to be a viral hit.
