CODA has added some world renowned acts to the bill for this September, making this month one to remember. Whether you are a techno fanatic or like something more along the lines of minimal house, there will be a show for your liking.

Starting off the month is techno legend UMEK, who will send booming sound waves throughout the club on September 6th.Hunter Siegel’s ‘No Neon’ party returns to support the ‘Russian Style Tour’ with sets from Russia’s very own Phlegmatic Dogs and VOLAC. British duo Solardo, will entrance crowds with their unique sounds on September 13th, followed by a triple threat of a show that features Toronto’s very own Nathan Barato, Demuir & Chris Larsen on September 14th. British duo Eli & Fur, will bring the bass the following week with an unforgettable show on September 20th. Back with some more local talent, CODA will host DJ Addy’s annual birthday beats event, with Dekoze, Miz Megs, MC Flipside and more local talent on September 21st. All the way from Germany Purple Disco Machine – an expert producer and DJ will bring the funk with his disco-inspired sounds, on September 27th. To finish off the month, another German talent Sacha Robotti, will play an open-to-close set you won’t want to miss. All in all, club goers can expect back-to-back weekends filled with talent from around the globe, to connect on the dance floor and and feed the soul.

CODA Toronto – Friday, September 6: Umek

In his home country of Slovenia, UMEK is often referred to as “Fotr,” which in translation means “The Father.” He earned that nickname for playing a crucial row in the evolution of the regional electronic music scene. UMEK today, is one of the most prolific techno producers with numerous awards under his belt and a relentlessly touring DJ with up to 120 gigs per year. He has traveled the world and ticked off most of the clubs and festivals from his bucket list, including Space Ibiza, Pacha, Berghain, Beta, El Row, Mayday, Tomorrowland, EDC and Ultra, while releasing tracks on pretty much every prominent label out there, including his own imprint 1605. CODA Toronto – Saturday, September 7: No Neon with Phlegmatic Dogs, Volac & Hunter Siegel

Back with another edition, Hunter Siegel hosts his infamous ‘No Neon’ Party, this time hosting at the legendary CODA, Hunter will support the ‘Russian Style Tour’ with Russian DJ duo’s Phlegmatic Dogs and VOLAC. In addition, Toronto’s very own Pray First will also perform. You don’t want to miss this instalment of  the No Neon party.

Hailing from Manchester, production duo Mark Richards & James Eliot, collectively known as Solardo, are continuing the city’s rich heritage in house music. Crowned DJ Mag’s Best Breakthrough Act of 2016 and Best Duo of 2017, the prolific duo’s meteoric rise is testament to their hard work in the studio and their infectious energy in the club. Solardo will surely ignite dancers at CODA on September 13th.

A triple threat as Nathan Barato, Demuir and Chris Larsen all take the stage for one unforgettable night at CODA… These Toronto natives have each had successful musical careers over the years. Taking the stage at many notable venues both in Toronto and world-wide, the three will come together for a dance-floor shaking event on September 14th.

CODA Toronto – Saturday, September 28: Sacha Robotti (Open to Close)

Hailing from Berlin, Sacha Robotti has come a long way in terms of his musical career. Although Sacha’s sound has evolved throughout the years, you can recognize his signature in everything he creates: meandering between the dirty bass-heavy “booty” plains of electronic dance music and its’ futuristic shores; his music is funky, creative, has character, uses a palette of rich sounds and tells a story with layers of depth and emotion. It also has a sonic quality that makes it stand out.
