When an iconic label books an open-air day and night Saturday situation conveniently close to a tube stop yet removed away from a standard city setting, you’re in for something special: Toolroom at Studio338 Saturday 13th July day and night done right.

This one’s personal for me because Mark Knight’s careful curation of Toolroom Radio’s podcasts felt like the in-the-know older brother I’d always wished I had. From shining the spotlight on emerging talent to harkening back to tracks I’d initially only come across in sample form, the man’s known as much for his own productions as he is for his industry influence.

Meanwhile, I moved to London the summer of 2016, attending a summer sesh at Studio 338 mere weeks before it caught fire and set the sky ablaze spotted miles away. It took countless fundraising efforts to repair but like a phoenix, it’s risen from the ashes anew and already held plenty of notable parties since. This mid-July one is definitely worth making the trek to North Greenwich for if you’ve still not left your usual turf.

Day & Knight

Kicking off from 2pm Saturday afternoon to make full use of Studio 338’s incredible Lost Island-themed garden and iconic Terrace, and running all the way through to 6am Sunday morning, Toolroom’s Summer Party will bring the sounds of their Eden Ibiza residency direct to the UK capital. Mark’s bringing Eli Brown, Gene Farris, Illyus & Barrientos, Leftwing & Kody, Maxinne, Weiss & Purple Disco Machine.

The line-up is a huge celebration of house and techno from across the board. Purple Disco Machine will bringhis unparalleled sounds and unique mix of disco, nu disco, funk, house and deep house straight to the dancefloor while Illyus & Barrientos – whose recent Essential Mix established their place among the electronic elite – continue to go from strength to strength. Continuing to huge roll call, Eli Brown has been on ferociously good form over the last year, Chicago legend Gene Farris is a insanely accomplished DJ and Leftwing:Kody – who are shaping up to have the record of the summer with I Feel It – are guaranteed to drop dancefloor bombs all night long.

And of course, Toolroom founder Mark Knight will be completing the line up with his usual faultless delivery of house, tech house and techno.
