The global smash exhibition ‘David Bowie Is’ comes to Barcelona

The international hit exhibition about David Bowie’s life and influence comes to Barcelona’s Museu del Disseny (Barcelona Design Museum) from the 25th of May, following its successful run in cities around the world including Tokyo, Paris, São Paulo, Berlin, Chicago, Melbourne, Gröningen, Bologna and Toronto.
The exhibition counts as the most popular in London’s Victoria and Albert Museum’s 164 year history, with more than 1.5 million visitors.

For the exhibition, the V&A gained unprecedented access to the David Bowie Archive, to create the first international retrospective of the artist’s extraordinary career.

The exhibition shows how the late singer was one of the most pioneering and influential performers of modern times and traces his creative processes as a musical innovator and cultural icon, depicting his shifting style and sustained reinvention across five decades.
