Las Vegas – Insomniac, the team behind Electric Daisy Carnival, and Wendoh Media are teaming up once again to return GlowRun to the heart of Las Vegas following its successful debut in 2012. Combining thousands of excited runners with energizing music and neon colors, this luminous fun run will hit the streets of downtown Las Vegas on October 13, 2013.
The annual 5K run features an illuminated nighttime environment where participants of all ages are encouraged to walk, run or dance to the finish line in their most colorful and elaborate costumes. Live music and colorful characters will greet runners as they begin the downtown race route.
As racers cross the finish line, they will enter the immersive post-race party, AfterGlow. This closing celebration will be the ultimate party experience featuring live performances by some of today’s most popular up-and-coming DJs, as well as food and beverage vendors. Produced by Insomniac, the creative minds behind Electric Daisy Carnival, AfterGlow features creative lighting and captivating sounds from Insomniac’s “Discovery Project” winning DJs as well as additional special guests.
As part of their commitment to charitable giving, the Las Vegas community will receive a donation from GlowRun’s charitable partner: The Bright Future Fund. A $50,000 investment will be awarded to a start-up business presenting a proposal with promising economic impact.
Start-up business concepts can be submitted on the GlowRun website. All submissions will be reviewed by Babson College, an institute celebrated for its committed leadership toward entrepreneurship.
Babson’s recommended proposals will be assessed by the GlowRun Business Advisory Board to ensure that each proposal is environmentally or socially healthy and sound. Approved businesses will be showcased on the GlowRun website, where each community can vote for the proposal they would like to be awarded the $50,000 investment.
