Kamasi Washington & Blood Orange Headlining The Ray-Ban x Boiler Room Weekender, Additional Programming Announced | Nov 4-6 in Lake Harmony, PA
The Ray-Ban x Boiler Room Weekender is an immersive, artist-driven two day event to celebrate the artists, DJs, collectives, creatives and fans that have been integral players of the Ray-Ban x Boiler Room series.
Today Ray-Ban x Boiler Room are pleased to announce the headlining acts for Friday and Saturday and the supporting acts.
Brainfeeders celebrated breakout star Kamasi Washington, the LA-based jazz saxophonist, composer and producer, whose 2015 debut The Epic received critical acclaim, will headline Friday Night. To open the night, Washington invited Jamila Woods, the up-and-coming Chicago-based soul singer widely known for her collaborations with Chance the Rapper, as well as her recently released debut HEAVN and legendary American soul musician Lee Fields, a man whos been actively creating and performing for 43+ years.
Blood Orange (aka Dev Hynes) the musical virtuoso whos gained notoriety for his ability to seamlessly weave politics and poignant nostalgia into infectious pop, headlines Saturday night. To join him, Hynes chose Klein, the London-based artist of Nigerian descent making waves for her hypnotic, yet glitchy interpretation of gospel-style music and BEA1991, the Dutch singer-songwriter (and designer) who crafts woozy, misty pop electronica.
Previously the Ray-Ban x Boiler Room Weekender announced a selection of artists and collective curators who would be helping to build out the programming for the weekend. Last week, they shared the names of performers chosen by these curators – see those lineups below.
