The Pryda Family has been unstoppable in 2013; whether it was Eric Prydz’s headlining sets at Coachella, Ultra and Electric Daisy Carnival, Pryda’s chart topping ‘Power Drive’ or Pryda Friends fast rising duo Jeremy Olander and Fehrplay, the last six months have reinforced Pryda’s position as one of the world’s most singular house music labels.

This summer Pryda will take its inimitable sound across America, for the inaugural Pryda Friends tour. It’s an exciting step in the label’s evolution as it continues its mission to champion the best and most cutting edge dance music.

As at all Pryda events, fans can expect to be pushed musically, with Olander and Fehrplay upholding Prydz mentality of refusing to play it safe when behind the decks. From the dark techno strains of Olander’s alias Dhillon, to the contemporary funk of Fehrplay, the Pryda Friends tour will showcase two young acts emerging and putting their own stamp on house music.

Playing a mixture of back-to-back and individual sets, Olander and Fehrplay will play a very exclusive run of five dates kicking off August 9 in Los Angeles.

Fehrplay’s ‘Phantom’ was his fourth release for Pryda Friends, a piano club anthem underpinned by hypnotic swells and drops. With the upcoming release ‘MonteFehrplay steps in a different direction. A totally fresh, funky deeper house cut, ‘Monte’ pairs sultry vocals and vibrant synth chords creating an essential summer groove that is capable of grabbing any dance floor’s attention. It’s further evidence that Ferhplay is evolving his own brave and singular sound both as a DJ and producer.

Since 2011 Jeremy Olander has been a consistent presence on Pryda, whether through touring with Eric Prydz or via his releases for Pryda Friends. Similar to Prydz, Olander has created an alias that allows him to explore techno, and as Dhillon he has appeared on Adam Beyer’s highly influential Drumcode label. Much like Fehrplay he continues to evolve his take on house, incorporating more bass, while maintaining his trademark melodies. Underpinning it all is Olander’s dedication to capturing emotion in his music while still moving a dance floor.
