Following the momentous launch of his record label Odd One Out, Yotto returns with “Nova,” the next single on his burgeoning imprint.

Today’s release shows a new side of the label, one that explores the deeper stylings of Yotto’s melodic tech-directed approach, playing with powerful pulsating rhythms and modest synths, layered over dark and dramatic crescendos. As his four-part single series continues, Odd One Out begins to take shape and bring the eclectic sounds of Yotto’s repertoire to the dancefloor.

Yotto is pleased to report: “After two weeks of running a record label, I can safely say I’m already reaching the skill set of Berry Gordy. The second installment from Odd One Out continues in the galactic zoo theme. Originally this piece was titled, “Ass Horn Track” – title did not test well with my focus group of elderly Finnish ladies so I switched it to “Nova”. I like it, hope you do too.”

Odd One Out’s debut single “Shifter” earned immediate support across a spectrum of notable names including BBC Radio 1’s Danny Howard, Patrice Bäumel, Joris Voorn, Kevin De Vries, Edu Imbernon and Lane 8 to name a few. After teasing the unidentified track in his previous sets this year, Yotto performed “Shifter” to a crowd of nearly 20,000 fans at Above & Beyond’s inaugural Group Therapy Weekender last month at The Gorge Amphitheater in Washington State. This summer has seen Yotto impress crowds at a myriad of unforgettable sunrise and late-night sets around the globe from Canada to Spain to London and beyond. He’ll next embark on his Odd One Out tour, headlining dates across Australia and the US at preeminent performance spaces such as LA’s Fonda, SF’s Regency Ballroom, DC’s Soundcheck and Vancouver’s Commodore Ballroom, among others.
