Orkid drops This Is Not Club Music EP on Circus Records

Hailing from France, the mysterious Orkid first popped up on the Circus Records radar when he remix Flux Pavilion’s huge “Cut Me Out.” His remoulding was intricate and nothing short of original. The label then asked to hear some more music, then teamed up with him for a couple of free downloads in the way of “Lava Planet” and “Fresque” earlier in the year.

December sees the culmination of Orkid’s first year in existence, 2017, with the release of his  debut EPThis is not Club Music. The aptly titled release comes filled with the three previous  Circus tracks and three new recordings to the label in the way of “Some Kind of Plains”, “Stop Your Lying” and title track “This is not Club Music.” The EP is a heart on sleeve expression of Orkid’s sound, everything is left on the field, no emotions held back. Tied with his influences of late 20th century science fiction, this extended player comes together to wrap Circus’s 2017 with another huge leap forward in their sonic exploration.
