Sonically, ‘Survive’ moves the SAINT WKND story on once more; opening with a soaring synth refrain which explodes into a bass-heavy, trap influenced chorus. MAX’s electrifying vocal interplays with arpeggios and earth shaking percussion to devastating effect. ‘Survive’ is destined for club dance floors as well as festival stages for the rest of the year.

SAINT WKND is 22-year-old Gen Y German producer and songwriter Maximilian Seethaler. Max has made a series of marks over the last year with a collection of distinctive re-edits, remixes and original productions. He shot to notoriety as an unsigned bedroom producer – uploading his own edits and bootleg remixes to his Soundcloud account. Stamping his own style onto the likes of M83’s ‘Midnight City’, Two Door Cinema Club’s ‘Sun’, and Chet Faker’s ‘Lover’, SAINT WKND quickly found his play counts soaring beyond 25 million, as he climbed the Hype Machine charts and to date as scored multiple #1 placings.

This year, his electrifying live shows have wowed crowds throughout the US and Europe. Having already played slots at the likes of Electric Forest, Bang On! Elements Campout, Splash House and Firefly this summer, he’s due to appear at Electric Zoo (New York), Lollapalooza (Berlin) in September with a host of US and Canadian tour dates to follow in the Autumn.

MAX is a New York City born pop-soul singer, actor & dancer. His original voice has earned him a legion of fans including 1.2 million followers on YouTube, 400,000 followers on Twitter and over 940,000 likes on Facebook. MAX’s last solo single Lights Down Low’ has achieved over 70M streams. He initially shot to fame in 2015, after YouTube selected his single ‘Gibberish’ for their YouTube Music Awards, alongside songs from Ed Sheeran and Charli XCX. The groundbreaking video has received over 19 million views to date. He’s also been featured as MTV’s Artist to Watch and performed on NBC’s TODAY show.

SAINT WKND said “‘Survive’ started as an instrumental that I wrote between studio sessions in London. I was just playing around with an arpeggiator at first, liking how it sounded so weird. I sent a package of different beats over to MAX to see if he liked any, and included this one. It was a real surprise when he chose it, it’s so different. Working with him has been amazing – his vocal range is simply insane. As soon as he sent me his first vocals, the whole production for the song fell into place”

MAX said “Been a fan of SAINT WKND’s production style for a minute now and when he sent me the base track for survive I immediately connected with it. The progression of the topline and production together after the last few months has been so rad and unique and I’m so happy to share the final song finally!”

SAINT WKND designed the artwork for ‘Survive’ himself, and maintains a strong connection to all of the visual output associated with his music.
