Lemaitre – Fast Lovers (Audio)

“Fast lovers is a modern reflection on the age old conundrum surrounding consumerism and happiness. It ponders on whether life would be better spent pursuing a slow incline towards contention or the quick release in the form of material goods and paraphernalia. The subject is reflected by the allegory of a woman consuming copious amounts of blow.”

The six-song EP will feature two additional new songs – “Smoke” and “Better Now” – plus the previously released “Big,” “Little Things” and “Rocket Girl” feat. Betty Who. See below for track listing.

The Norwegian-born, Los Angeles-based electronic duo is fresh off a sold-out series of December dates, which wrapped up at New York City’s Gramercy Theatre. Lemaitre also performed at the Gamers’ Choice Awards, the first ever network awards show celebrating the worlds of gaming and esports, which aired live on CBS.

VMAN praises Lemaitre’s “uber- catchy melodies and shimmering new wave synths” and deems “Big” “an anthemic, slow-churning electro-rock tune that’s very reminiscent of the Beatles and reflects a more organic and instrumental approach to their glossy sound.” Watch the accompanying video below.
