“Karma (ft. Roxanne),” the first collaborative release of the Israeli duo, opens on an Asian-inspired riff and explodes into a pop sound with trap undertones. Hit-making producer Guy Gabriel moved from Israel to America to do what he always wanted since childhood: make music for the world to hear. After moving to Los Angeles, he joined forces with fellow Israeli producer/songwriter Marky Style, who had previously received critical praise and radio play on his solo and collaborative singles, released through both Far East Movement’s label BreadNButter and TrapCity. Guy and Marky immediately clicked and began making instrumetnals that rivaled pop radio with their infectious melodies and driving beats. The two later found accomplished vocalist and audio engineer Roxanne to bring “Karma” to life with her powerful voice. The DIY learnings of these artists are seen and heard throughout the infectious single.
