Mala Luna Music Festival is proud to unveil the full schedule for the inaugural event, slated to make its debut on Diá de los Muertos weekend, October 29 and 30, at the historic Lone Star Brewery near downtown San Antonio. Two-day and single-day GA and VIP tickets are still available for purchase at www.MalaLunaMusicFestival.com.

Mala Luna will be a truly special event for the San Antonio community that will feature top national hip-hop and EDM talent, as well as some of today’s most exciting up-and-coming acts.

Among this year’s music highlights are headlining sets from Travis Scott and Steve Aoki on Saturday night, as well as from Kaskade and G-Eazy on Sunday night to close out the first year fest. Additional performers include Kevin Gates, Tory Lanez, Rae Sremmurd, Kehlani, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Yachty, Sango, Lunice, and more than 10 other acts from across the globe.

Mala Luna will also welcome a Silent Disco Stage to the Lone Star Brewery complex, which will offer muted musical entertainment from several San Antonio-based DJs and other emerging music acts from across the state. Plus, several DJ’s will be on-hand to help keep the party going all day long, including Robbie Rob & DJ Ultrasonic from 98.5 The Beat as well as DJ D1 and DJ Hella Yella. The inaugural festival will welcome internationally acclaimed artist Cruz Ortiz, who has created a limited edition poster exclusively for the first year fest. The poster will be available for purchase onsite at the event, but attendees are encouraged to act fast as these posters are in short supply. Thanks to our partnership with Centro San Antonio, Mala Luna will welcome an acclaimed group of live visual artists from across the state to participate in this year’s event as well. These visual artists include Soupe (@souplaws), David Vega (@gravelmouthgallery), Savana Jagne (@ajifatouism), Tyler Reichert (@tylerkay), Lucy Ford (@lovelucyford), Justin French (@frenchiebauce), and more.

Mala Luna Music Festival marks the next endeavor for ScoreMore Shows, a Texas-based music promoter group that began booking concerts in 2009. The team aims to bring a truly unique festival experience to the San Antonio area and larger South Texas region. The festival will pay homage to the local culture and the communities’ annual Diá de los Muertos celebration through a unique and carefully curated selection of stellar music acts set to perform over two days, along with multiple live art installations and numerous local food vendors and merchants.

In an effort to give back and show appreciation to the surrounding San Antonio community, Mala Luna Music Festival is donating a portion of the proceeds from each ticket sold to Network for Young Artists (NYA), a 501c3 nonprofit organization that provides affordable classes in voice, guitar, percussion, keyboard, and dance to San Antonio-area youth ages 4-20. Additionally, in a continued effort to support San Antonio’s up-and-coming music scene, two NYA students, Chloe Delgado and Chase Sauer, have been selected to perform in front of their hometown crowd at Mala Luna Music Festival. This partnership with NYA helps to further ScoreMore Shows’ ongoing commitment to supporting underserved students by providing incentives and culturally relevant opportunities at its various shows and festivals.

Mala Luna Music Festival would like to thank all of the 2016 partners and sponsors that have helped to make this festival possible, including Univision’s 98.5 The Beat (KBBT-FM), Lone Star Beer, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Centro, Wingstop, Red Bull, Metro PCS, Papa John’s Pizza, HEB, and San Antonio Water System.
