Fehrplay has been turning heads with several astonishing releases recently, earning him the support of established industry names such as Above & Beyond, Paul Oakenfold, Armin van Buuren, BBC Radio 1 legend Pete Tong, and more. The Norwegian multi-talent picks up where the critically acclaimed Eelke Kleijn Remix of ‘Discopolis 2.0’ left off, allowing for the fans leaning more towards Progressive House music to jump the bandwagon and join in on the revival of the revered House classic as well.
Fehrplay cranked up those lower frequencies and gave this track the physical vibration every club goer seeks. There’s no holding this remix back, even when you think you get a chance to breath it takes you right back into the deep and keeps pushing forward. That familiar light synth melody keeps the spine tingling chills coming, but it’s that dark bassline that hits you right in the chest and tells you to keep your feet moving. Fehrplay serves up a multitude of textures from start to finish. His take on ‘Discopolis 2.0’ provides that transcendent sensation that has you forgetting where you are, and then instantaneously shoots you right back to the dancefloor.
This rework plays right into Fehrplay’s style as it showcases his ability to build a soundscape filled with layers of bright harmonics and some dark pulsating grooves. Without a doubt, Fehrplay created a track that not only does the original justice, but will revive any dancefloor that it gets dropped on.
