KEYS N KRATES RELEASE MIDNITE MASS: THE REMIXES FEATURING DJ Q, JAKWOB, StööKI SOUND + MORE
Keys N Krates’ monumental Midnite Mass EP receives a standout remix package from illustrious producers Stööki Sound, KRNE, Promnite, Autolaser, DJ Q and Jakwob. The six-track bundle features transformations of the original bass-centric beats, from Jakwob’s breakbeat-laden UK house rework of “U Already Know” to KRNE’s anthemic future bass take on “I Know U.” DJ Q and Promnite breathe fresh air into “Nothing But Space,” dropping in a wubby 2-step beat and an R&B rhythm respectively; while “Love Again” experiences hard trap kicks courtesy of Stööki Sound and melodic future bass notes by Autolaser. Additionally, Keys N Krates have released a new music video for “Nothing But Space”, one of the highlights from Midnite Mass.
Midnite Mass quickly became a favorite amongst fans and critics. Pitchfork called the first single “Save Me (Feat Katy B)” “Not just the upper echelon of Katy B tracks, but also the top-tier of Keys N Krates’ catalog to date.” Following its own strong remix package with tasteful reworkings from Wuki, Naderi, and STFU, “Save Me” took home “Dance Recording Of The Year” at the 2016 Juno Awards. The strength of this single, alongside the other tracks, propelled Midnite Mass to #2 on the iTunes US Top Dance Album Charts and took the #1 spot in Canada. Support poured in worldwide, with Zane Lowe, A-Trak, and Mistajam playing tracks on Beats1 and BBC Radio 1 programs.
Keys N Krates took Midnite Mass on a coast-to-coast North American tour over the winter. The shows featured the trio playing live, with support from Stööki Sound, Jesse Slayer, Hermitude, and Ganz. Their dynamic live show was recently highlighted on the cover of Pollstar Magazine and in a session with Q at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Click HERE to see the performance.
