Guy Gerber’s Rumors Hits Brooklyn Mirage

Damian Lazarus, Lauren Lane, and Kaz James To Perform With Gerber Friday, Sept 7th During NY Fashion Week + A Club Called Rhonda Hosting The Garden

RUMORS NEW YORK:

Guy Gerber’s Rumors Party emerged as a clandestine beach party in Ibiza several years ago, since then it has emerged into a global touchpoint for cutting edge underground house music held in far-flung locales. Rumors has traveled from cliff top locales in Ibiza, to Mayan cenotes in Mexico, to courtyards in old London town, evolving into a one-of-a-kind party, that could only have been conceived by the contrarian imagination of Guy Gerber.

After a summer spent hosting an oceanfront Sunday party in Ibiza, Rumors will migrate West, touching down for an open-air fashion week soiree at the Mirage in Brooklyn. This year Rumors has already hosted Coachella’s ‘most epic after-party’, sold-out it’s annual block party in Los Angeles’ historic Chinatown and popped up poolside in Miami during WMC.

Gerber’s party has built its name hosting the most exciting talent from across the spectrum of electronic music. In 2018 Rumors has already showcased emerging stars like DJ Seinfeld and Bedouin as well as icons like DJ Harvey, Sven Väth and Danny Tenaglia.

In NYC Gerber will be joined by his brother in arms, Crosstown Rebels sonic wizard Damian Lazarus, DC10’s new resident Lauren Lane, and Australian fire-cracker and party starter Kaz James.

Rumors New York will run from sunset deep into the night, with Gerber playing an extended set. The Garden will be hosted by LA’s most fabulous pansexual party, the inimitable Club Called Rhonda, led by Rhonda’s DJs Goddolars and Paradise. Taking place under the open Brooklyn skyline at the iconic Brooklyn Mirage during one of NYC’s most exciting weeks of the year, this is a party not to be missed.

In the last year, Gerber has debuted a new live set at the legendary Hollywood Bowl, remixed Tokimonsta’s Don’t Call Me and released his EP What to Do, which has been soundtracking discerning dancefloors throughout the summer and points to a new body of work forthcoming from Gerber in 2019.

One thing about a rumor is that it takes a minute to start one and a life-time to stop it. Like any guilty pleasure, a good Rumor is a little bit clandestine, a little bit naughty, and something you always want more of.
